Introductory 15-Min. Telephone Session
Our initial contact will be by telephone. During the course of the call I will work to get a clear understanding of the concerns that bring you to counselling and to decide whether I am the right person to help you address them (See FAQ). You may raise any questions you may have about any aspect of the counselling process and decide whether I am the right ‘fit’ for your needs. If we both feel we are a good fit we’ll proceed with a first booking, which may be virtual or on the trail.
WALK AND TALK THERAPY
Research conducted at Stanford has repeatedly shown that walking outdoors reduces feelings of anxiety and has lasting positive effects on mood , memory and cognition. The natural world is also powerful because of the symbolic teachings it offers about loss, resilience, and cycles of renewal. Absorbing these lessons slowly, step by step, and integrating them into the counselling process often helps clients come to deeper insights about themselves and let go of what is no longer serving them.
